The fauna includes many species characteristic of the African savannah. According to the local guides at Mikumi, chances of seeing a lion that climbs a tree trunk is larger than in Manyara (famous for being one of the few places where the lions exhibit this behavior.) The park contains a subspecies of giraffe, that biologists consider the link between the Masai giraffe and the reticulated or Somali giraffe. Other animals in the park are Elephants, Zebras, Impala, Eland, Kudu, Black antelope, Baboons, Wildebeests and Buffaloes. At about 5 km from the north of the park, there are two artificial pools inhabited by hippos. More than 400 different species of birds also inhabit the park.
This day safari will take you to Mikumi National Park. Then you'll get on a full day game drive with packed lunch boxes and Kilimanjaro drinking water. This tour is best for those clients arriving early in the morning with Turkish or Ethiopia airlines. This rate does include park fees and lunch, after our review we have come to a decision to offer dinner on our way back to Dar Es Salaam, most of the hotels they close early sometimes before even 2200pm.
Day Trip : Dar-es-Salaam /Mikumi National Park/Dar es salaam.
Our driver guide will pick you up from agreed Point at 03h30am then drive to Mikumi National Park, the trip will take 5-6 hours of drive, arrive in Mikumi mid morning and direct to the game drive, while in the park you will have your hot lunch at Mikumi NP Banda restaurant. then proceed with the game drive, before you start driving out of the park.
After the game drive, you will prepare to return back to Dar Es Salaam and arrive around 19h00 this will depend with the time you left the Park, on the way we will offer dinner before arriving to the hotel.
This will end the best of this tour. Offering dinner to our clients is very important as they might arrive later and need something to eat after wards. So just feel free to go with us we take good care for the whole entire day.
