The Selous game reserve is the largest game reserve in Africa (50,000 sq.km) and one of the largest in the world.This was Coastal’s first destination and remains one of the most popular for flying safaris. This is rough territory, long distances and frequently flooded roads.
Day 1: Dar es Salaam - Selous Game Reserve.
After breakfast leaves from Hotel drive to Selous its about 5-6 hours from Dar Es Salaam to Selous, after arrival you will get short rest then, evening boat safari along Rufiji River which it’s take 1 to 2 or and half hours.
Dinner and overnight at Butembo Camp Full board.
Day 2: Selous Game Reserve.
After breakfast you will have full day game drive in Selous game reserve. The Selous Game Reserve is Africa's largest game reserve and one of our favorite game viewing areas in Africa. It really is a hidden gem! It’s much quieter than the Northern parks, the rivers and lakes of the Selous are the lifeblood to a park that hosts phenomenal volumes of game including Africa's largest elephant and wild dog populations and probably it's largest buffalo, hippo, crocodile and lion prides. Dinner and overnight at Butembo Camp (B.L.D.)
Day 3: Selous Game Reserve
Full day game drive, packed lunch, Selous Game Reserve-With an area of around 50,000sq km,(5% of Tanzania’s land surface) Selous game reserve is one of the large protected area in the world, its size is stunning, bigger than Switzerland or Denmark, uninhabited and little touched by human interference. Visitors therefore find themselves in a pristine wilderness far away from the trodden tourist routes. Its wildlife (including some few remaining Black rhinos and Wild dogs) are very spectacular. Butembo Camp (B.L.D.)
Day 4: Selous Game Reserve/ Dar Es Salaam.
Early in the morning you will have walking Safaris with range guide , then later you will drive back to Dar es Salaam.
